Andrew Lunetta, a graduate of LeMoyne, talked about his journey to help those suffering from addictions and homelessness. He started a program called Pedal to Possibilities which is a group bike ride in the city of Syracuse for homeless people. It acts as a way to build a community and break down barriers with the homeless. He opened up a home called The Possibilities Home, which is a place for homeless to try to change their lives.

Service Learning
National Junior Honor Society students gave a presentation to DMS students on service learning. They shared what it means to them, why they do it and how they want to make a change in the world and help change someone's life... Including their own! Their hope is their message will encourage their classmates to do the same.

Honoring our Veterans
What is a veteran and what is Veteran’s Day? Students from Mrs. Carey’s 5th
grade class spent time interviewing family members, relatives, or family
friends who have either served in a branch of the military or are still
presently serving. They then wrote an
essay and created a visual display honoring that service member. Bridget Manahan, a student in Mrs. Carey’s
class, said it best…….”What does Veteran’s Day mean to you? Honestly, to me it meant, “Yes! We get a day off from school!” But now I know what Veteran’s Day is really
for. It’s for honoring the people who
have served and are still serving to protect our country.”
