4th Grade Video Conferencing about Erosion

Mrs. Ercole's class participated in a video conferencing lesson with the Forth Worth Museum of Science and History. The program was Investigations in Weathering, Erosion and Deposition.  Mrs. Ercole received all the materials ahead of time. The presenter started with asking the students if they could think of ways the surface of the earth changes. Then she had them do several activities to change the rocks they had been given. They rubbed them together, shook them in a container with and without water and finally she had them put the water in a clear bag so they would see the sediment.  Students did a great job!  It is very cool to have this opportunity to work with professionals and organization across the country!

Senior Citizens join us for Breakfast!

Thanks to all our seniors who came to enjoy breakfast at DMS on Wednesday the 14th!  Our fourth graders made placemats to decorate and also helped to serve. Breakfast consisted of french toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt and fruit! Josh B., Zoey C. And Rebecca K. entertained us with a few tunes on the piano!
