Hygiene Relief Kits

The National Junior Honor Society and Mustang Pride are collecting hygiene items to create kits to send to the victims of Hurricane Matthew. Kits will be assembled at the end of the week and sent to victims. Students can bring in items through Friday, October 28th.

Also, a 6th grade student, Molly Tracy is sponsoring "notes for hope". Students can write a hopeful message to victims to let them know we are thinking about them and give them encouragement. Notes will be collected through November 2nd.

Lost and Found at DMS

See anything that looks familiar? We have many items in our lost and found. Give us a call or have your child retrieve their article from lost and found which is located in the classroom in the main hallway.

Senior Citizen Breakfast

DMS was excited to welcome our senior citizens to breakfast Wednesday morning. We had a fun time discussing the beautiful fall we have had, the impending winter, apple pies, family traditions, their children who work in our school and their grandchildren who attend our school.

They were served their coffee and breakfast by some of our 4th graders: Connor Ciota
Xander Szalach, Owen Alexander and Ella Butler, Alex Sperling and Jadyn Baker, Matthew Thorpe and Janzen Long. After they enjoyed scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit and a muffin  they were entertained by some of our student musicians. Ryan Lundrigan and Paul Stewart played a brass duet and Ben Watling and Ryan both played a Billy Joel song on the piano.  Thanks for sharing your talent and providing us with awesome entertainment!

Thanks to our food service staff and students who helped make this a special morning.

Thanks to our seniors who joined us. It is always a pleasure and an honor to have you here!

Student Council Officers 2016-2017

Congratulations to our new Student Council Officers!  Dan Mitchell, President, Brooklyn Finarty, Vice President and Emma MacLachlan, Treasurer.  These students won the office in a vote we held for 7th and 8th graders earlier this week.  Students gave speeches at the end of last week sharing their platform and reasons why they should be elected to office. Congratulations to all students who won a solid race for office!  We look forward to the leadership the students will bring our student body and DMS school community!
